FAQ

Can I make a non-binding reservation first?

Sure! Feel free to get in touch and we’ll handle your non-binding reservation until 2 weeks before the date.

Does canyoning for school classes take place in all weather?

Approx. 90-95% of tours take place as planned.

Canyons are undoubtedly among the most beautiful landscapes in the world!
They do have their downsides, though: because of the narrow sections, safety in the gorge depends heavily on water levels and related factors. Rainfall, meltwater, dam releases, etc…

Safety is our top priority. Sometimes we can only tell if conditions are right at very short notice (1 to 2 days) before the tour. As soon as we know for sure if the tour can go ahead, we’ll let you know!

Do tickets and Gift cards expire if dates are canceled?

No, tickets and Gift cards remain valid. In case of cancellations, an alternative date will be arranged.

What is included in the equipment and what do I need to bring?

We provide:

  • 7mm wetsuit
  • Climbing harness with self-belay
  • Helmet
  • Neoprene socks

What do I need to bring?

  • Swimsuit, trunks, or bikini
  • Towel
  • 2 pairs of shoes: 1 pair of sturdy shoes for the tour, preferably ankle-high, that can get wet (e.g. hiking boots) and 1 pair of shoes for afterwards
  • Optional: functional shirt to wear under the wetsuit (no cotton)

(We only have a limited number of shoes for rent)

Public transport and parking options

The meeting point is our camp in Lenggries. That’s where you’ll be welcomed & receive your equipment.
The entry point for the Canyoning Bavaria tour is in Austria and can be reached by car in 20 minutes.
You’ll still need to do this drive in your own car.

If you’re arriving by public transport, let us know in good time before the tour so we can organize a carpool or taxis for you at your own expense.

Do we need prior experience?

Basic swimming skills are required to take part in this activity.
Otherwise, the tour is suitable for complete beginners 😉

I have a fear of heights, can I still participate? What are the highest jumps?

If you’re afraid of heights but want to tackle your fear with a calm head, you’re very welcome on this tour.
If you’re afraid of heights and can’t control yourself due to panic, you’d better not take part.

All spots over 1.5 m can either be bypassed or abseiled.

What happens at the exit of the gorge? End of the tour?

After the experience in the gorge, we’ll drive back to our camp together. There, the equipment is washed and sorted.

Are showers available?

2 cold water showers are available.

What happens to my belongings during the tour?

Everything is locked away in your own car or at our camp.

Are there places to stop for food and drinks after the canyoning tour?

Yes, Lenggries has plenty of rustic, traditional taverns, beer gardens, and restaurants. When the weather’s nice, we highly recommend the Dorfschenke, which is within walking distance.
You’re also welcome to treat yourself to a cold beer back at our camp. 🍺
