Tour

Ahoy, sailors! Are you ready for a trip you'll never forget? The Isar is one of the last wild rivers in Germany, and being allowed to raft here is something very special.

The meeting point for your Isar Rafting Bavaria is at our camp in Lenggries. From there we walk together in full gear (with wetsuit, life jacket, helmet and paddle) to the entry point on the Isar, which is only a two-minute walk away.

Once at the river, you will be familiarised with the safety issues, the boat and the technique of rafting on the Isar.

Then it's off into the water. The calm initial stretch invites you to take a swim break again and again. Too boring? Just wait and see! The "little Isar cataract", affectionately known as the "Isarburg", is waiting for adrenaline-seekers: A passage with white water level 3 that will really shake you up. Here the command is: everyone paddles along!

Before the ride, you have the opportunity to visit the spot so that you can decide whether you want to ride the passage or rather avoid it. If you then let yourself be carried away by this special fun, you can also ride the Isar cataract more often.

The tour continues along the foothills of the Alps through a beautiful floodplain landscape to the end point of the tour in Bad Tölz. Afterwards, we will organise your ride back to the camp either by taxi or bus. Isar Rafting Bavaria is suitable for anyone who wants to spend a fun summer day on an idyllic stretch of the Isar.

Contact us and we will plan an unforgettable trip with you on one of the last wild rivers in Germany!

FAQ

What is Isar Rafting Bavaria?

Rafting is a refreshing and action-packed pastime. Rafting, which derives from the word "raft", is a leisure activity that became popular in Central Europe in the mid to late 1980s. Isar Rafting Bavaria uses an inflatable boat for up to 11 participants to navigate Germany's last wild river (the Isar). Each participant is given a stand-up paddle and sits on the side tubes while the guide steers at the stern with his slightly larger paddle and gives timed commands. The rafts can be used to navigate white water of varying degrees of difficulty.

The view of the beautiful Isar and the lush foothills of the Alps will thrill you as you experience your Isar Rafting Bavaria adventure with the other participants on a stable boat. Rafting on the Isar is a unique experience in a dreamlike natural scenery. The Isar River in Bavaria offers ideal conditions for beginners to get started with this action-packed and refreshing water sport.

At our Isar Rafting Bavaria you can gain experience for your future rafting adventures. We are sure that you will leave our boat with a big smile on your face after your Isar Rafting Bavaria experience! 😉

Great day all around! Enthusiastic and warm hearted team of people at Sport Piraten made everything clear and easy, especially our guide, Domi, who also made it a LOT of fun. My two kids (13 and 10) were the only ones on our boat of 9, but always felt at ease and we all had fun.
