Tour

Tubing on the Isar is the ultimate summer action! Rock down the Isar in an inflatable tube. It’s a blast and loads of fun!

At the meeting point at the Sport-Piraten camp, you’ll receive your equipment and a detailed safety briefing from your guide.

And then it’s time: you get to dive into the waves. Equipped with helmet, wetsuit, double paddle, and life jacket, you hop on your tube and drift through the waves while tubing on the Isar.

Show us if you can ride the tube. If it throws you off, no problem! Quick shake and back on the tube.

After the tour, we’ll take you back to Lenggries to the starting point by taxi or bus. Tubing on the Isar in Lenggries is the ultimate summer experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum age 14 years
  • Persons under 18 years only when accompanied by a legal guardian or with written consent DOWNLOAD
  • normal physical condition, no heart or cardiovascular problems
  • Swimming skills
  • For safety reasons, intoxicated persons may not participate in the tour!

What you should bring

  • closed shoes that can get wet. No flip-flops or sandals
  • Synthetic shirt (base layer) to wear under the wetsuit
  • Swimwear
  • Glasses strap if needed

What is tubing on the Isar?

When tubing on the Isar, you sit in an inflatable tube and let the river current carry you along, but thanks to the double paddle you can also steer actively. It’s a laid-back way to explore the river and a welcome change from typical outdoor activities like hiking or cycling. It’s a popular activity for friends, families, and also companies looking for an event.

Sure! Contact us by email or phone and we’ll take care of a non-binding reservation up to 2 weeks before the date.

Does tubing on the Isar take place in all weather?
Yes with 2 exceptions:
  • During severe flooding above a certain water level.
  • During severe and widespread thunderstorms
We make every effort to inform participants as early as possible if the tour cannot take place.
Do tickets and Gift cards expire if dates are canceled?

No, tickets and Gift cards remain valid. In case of cancellations, an alternative date will be arranged.

Will I go together with my friends?

Yes! As long as the booking is under the same name, you’ll go together.

For bookings under different names, just let us know who belongs together!

How big are the groups?

Max. 10 guests per guide.

Our guides decide whether to go together or separately if there are multiple groups.

What's included and what do I need to bring?

What do I need to bring?

  • Swimsuit, trunks, or bikini
  • Towel
  • 2 pairs of shoes: 1 sturdy footwear for the tour that can get wet (e.g. sneakers) / 1 pair of shoes for afterwards
    Alternatively, you can rent neoprene shoes from us on site for the tour
  • optional: functional shirt to wear under the wetsuit (no cotton)
Public transport and parking options

Lenggries train station is a 2-minute walk from our camp. Parking is available in front of the Isarstadion opposite our camp.

Do we need prior experience?

No, tubing on the Isar is doable without any prior experience.

How does the transfer work after the tour?

The shuttle from Bad Tölz back to our camp (by taxi or bus) is organized by us and included in the price.

Are showers available?

2 cold water showers are available.

What happens to my belongings during the tour?

Valuables can be locked up before the tour.
Clothes, towels, etc. can also be stored at our camp during the tour.

Are there places to stop for food and drinks after tubing on the Isar?

Yes, in Lenggries there are rustic and traditional inns, beer gardens, and restaurants. In good weather, the Dorfschenke, which is within walking distance, is highly recommended.
You are also welcome to enjoy a cool beer at our camp. 🍺
