Event

The class trip rafting - between Lenggries and Bad Tölz on the river Isar - supports the promotion of tolerance, mutual consideration and social skills between students and teachers. In addition, the experience strengthens self-confidence through positive experiences.

Here, students and teachers can expect a summery and varied class trip on a diverse stretch of Germany's last wild feet. We look forward to welcoming you aboard our boats!

At the beginning of the class trip we meet at the Sport-Piraten camp in Lenggries. After the welcome by our guides, the students are familiarised with the day's programme and the equipment (wetsuit, life jacket, helmet and paddle).

Afterwards we go together to the entry point at the nearby Isar. After a briefing on safety and environmental issues as well as the correct paddling technique, we are ready to go!

About 12 kilometres of wet fun on crystal-clear water lie ahead of you. The rafting takes us along the foothills of the Alps through a beautiful floodplain landscape to the end point in Bad Tölz.

We also use this event to make the students aware of the beauty and sensitivity of nature: they learn what it means to move responsibly in this environment - because we value the Isar with all our hearts! Afterwards, we bring everyone back safely to our camp at Lenggries.

FAQ

Why take a class trip rafting?

Our class trip rafting is ideal for your fun, safe and well-organized school trip! From the welcome to the farewell, the responsibility for the students can be handed over to our trained guides. Our class trip rafting uses an inflatable boat for up to 11 students per boat to navigate the last wild river in Germany (the Isar). We can take a maximum of 120 students at a time on the water. The Isar in Bavaria offers ideal conditions for all students to get started in this action-packed and refreshing water sport. Each student receives a wetsuit, a helmet, a safety vest and a paddle and sits on the side tubes of the boat, while the guide steers at the stern with a slightly larger paddle and gives timed commands. In rafting, it is important that everyone carries out the guide's commands at the same time. Therefore, class trip rafting is the perfect opportunity for students to learn to work together and develop their teamwork skills. This adventure gives students the opportunity to have a completely new experience and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Short interim info

The team event "Rafting Isar" is exclusive, which means that you will be alone on the boat or boats with your own guides. Our rafts have 10 or 12 seats minus the guide. Therefore, the boat price is calculated for 9 or 11 guests, even if the actual number of participants is less.

If you are a small group and do not need or want to book an exclusive boat, you are welcome to purchase individual tickets here and enjoy the ride together with other guests.

Short interim info

For groups of 12 to 15 participants, an additional boat is used:

Rafting Bavaria Lenggries
1 x raft (max. 11 participants + guide)
Canoe tour Isar Lenggries - Bad Tölz
and 1 x Canadian (2-4 participants)

During the trip you are welcome to switch between raft and canoe. The route we will of course stay together 😉

Two rafts will be used if the number of participants is 16 or more.
