Tour

The advanced canyoning tour is our action treat for all canyoning fans!

After the approach via the forest road (approx. 45 minutes), pure natural idyll awaits us. After an introductory talk about the behavior in the canyon by the guide, we go into the cool water. Among other things, the best views await you during an abseil from a height of 30 meters, numerous cooling off in the most beautiful mountain pools with crystal-clear water and natural slides. At the waterfalls you will be abseiled down. Basically, walking in this gorge requires surefootedness and a good basic athletic condition.

After the tour it takes about 20 minutes on the forest road back to the parking lot. Are you afraid of heights? With our highest level of safety you can gain confidence. Feel free to contact us!

Equipped with neoprene suit, neoprene socks and the safety equipment like canyoning harness and helmet, you will be guided through the canyon by our state certified guides.

FAQ

What is advanced canyoning?

Advanced canyoneering allows you to explore a new route and also to go to higher levels of difficulty. Advanced canyoning offers the opportunity to challenge yourself, to exceed personal abilities as well as limits and to expand. This fun adventure is guaranteed to be remembered!

Can I book the appointment first without obligation?

Sure! Please contact us and we will take care of your non-binding reservation until 2 weeks before the date.

Does the Canyoning Lenggries tour take place in all weathers?

Approximately 90-95% of the tours take place as planned.

Gorges are undoubtedly among the most beautiful landscapes in the world!
However, they also have their disadvantages: due to the fact that they have partially narrow places, the safety in the gorge is very dependent on the water level and its influencing factors. The amount of precipitation, melt water, weir openings, etc...

Safety has absolute priority. Sometimes it is only possible to predict on very short notice (1 to 2 days) before the tour whether the circumstances are suitable for the tour. As soon as we are sure if the tour can take place (or not), we will let you know!

Do the tickets and vouchers expire if the appointment is cancelled?

No, the tickets and vouchers remain valid. In case of cancellation an alternative date will be arranged.

Am I in a group with my friends

Yes! As long as you book under the same name, you will be assigned to the same group.

For bookings with different names, feel free to let us know.

How big are the groups? What is the minimum number of participants?

There is a maximum of 10 guests per guide.
If we have several groups for the same time, the guides decide on the spot whether the groups go together or separately.

The minimum number of participants is 4 guests.

What is part of the equipment and what do I have to bring myself?

Provided by us:

  • 7-mm wetsuit
  • Climbing harness with self-belay.
  • Helmet
  • Neoprene socks

What do I need to bring ?

  • Swimsuit or trunks or bikini
  • Towel
  • 2 pairs of shoes: 1 pair of sturdy shoes for the tour, preferably ankle-high, which may get wet (e.g. hiking boots) and 1 pair of shoes for afterwards.
  • optional: functional shirt for under the neoprene (no cotton)

(We have only a limited number of shoes for rent)

Public access and parking

The meeting point is our camp in Lenggries. There you will be greeted and handed over the equipment.
The start of the tour is in Austria and can be reached in 20 minutes by car.
This trip must still be done with your own car.

If you are travelling by public transport, please let us know in good time before the tour so that we can organise a lift or taxi for you at your own expense.

Do we need prior knowledge? Participation requirements?

It's your first canyoning trip but you still want to do the advanced tour: Then go through this checklist:

  1. I can crawl and consider myself a good swimmer.
  2. I'm not afraid of heights.
  3. Mountain hiking is nothing new to me.
  4. Surefootedness is present.
  5. I have a good athletic condition and do sports regularly.
  6. I'm not afraid of white water.
I am afraid of heights, can I still participate? What are the highest jumps?

No. This tour is not suitable for people with a fear of heights. Among other things, this tour includes a 7m jump (which can be abseiled) and a 25m abseil, which can not be bypassed!

What happens at the exit of the gorge? End of the tour?

After the experience in the gorge, we drive back to our camp together. There the material is washed and sorted.

Are showers available?

2 cold water showers are available.

What happens to my belongings during the tour?

Everything is locked up in our own car or in our camp.

Are there any refreshment stops after the advanced canyoning Lenggries tour?

Yes, in Lenggries there are rustic and hearty inns, beer gardens and restaurants. When the weather is nice, the within walking distance Village tavern highly recommended.
In addition, you are welcome to enjoy a cold beer with us at the camp. 🍺

Do I have to print out my ticket?

No. A digital version of the ticket is sufficient.

Jumping Abseiling Slides. Everything was offered and it was a lot of fun. The only downside is that you wait 2/3 of the time for others. We were a group of 7 people plus guide.
A recommendation is for a maximum of 5 people per group.
All in all it was fun. Thanks

We did the advanced canyoning tour with Rodrigues. A really great experience through untouched nature: On foot we went uphill to the starting point in the gorge and then down into the valley. It was super fun with lots of variety of jumps slides and abseiling. Thanks for the great tour 🙂

There was quite a bit too little water in the stream but the guides made it perfect. Great group and group size. It has exceeded expectations despite the sth lower water!!!! Suggestion for improvement: the guides take the pictures
